World Breastfeeding Week
The hospital marked World Breastfeeding Week on 7 August 2025, embracing the global theme for the year – “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems.” The week-long observance provided an opportunity to highlight the critical importance of breastfeeding for the health and well-being of newborns, mothers, and the community at large.
As part of our efforts, a special awareness class was conducted by Dr. Shanmugharaj and his team, where participants learned about the benefits of breastfeeding, correct practices, and the support systems needed to enable mothers to breastfeed successfully. In addition, a quiz was held to engage hospital staff, reinforcing understanding and encouraging healthy practices related to infant nutrition and maternal care.
Through this initiative, our hospital reaffirmed its commitment to maternal and child health, nurturing an environment of support and awareness that aligns with global standards and promotes long-term well-being for families in our community.
